A couple weeks ago, I apparently sent my 20-month-old granddaughter to daycare with a copy of The Science of Being Greatin her backpack.

Which means shemust have put it in her backpack. 

This was especially hilarious because this book was published by Wallace Wattles in 1910.

I’m doing this thing where I let her pick my reading these days. 

So when she got home, I opened the book to see if there was anything relevant for us right now and… 

Here we go. From page one. I suspect you’ll find the resonance as stunning as I did:

YOU MAY BECOME GREAT

THERE is a principle of “power” in you at this very moment. By the intelligent use and direction of this principle, you can develop your own mental faculties.

YOU HAVE AN INHERENT POWER ALLOWING YOU TO GROW IN WHATEVER DIRECTION YOU PLEASE AND THERE ARE NO LIMITS TO YOUR POSSIBILITIES.

Nobody has become so great in any faculty that someone else cannot become greater. The possibility is in the original substance from which man and woman is made.

Genius is omniscience flowing into you. Genius is more than talent. Talent may only be the disproportionate development of one faculty over others. True genius is the union of man with spirit in the acts of the soul.

Great people are always greater than their deeds. They are in connection with a limitless reserve of power. And nobody knows where the boundary of mental powers lies. We do not even know if a boundary exists.

Like plants and trees, your purpose in life is growth. And there’s one big difference. Trees and plants grow automatically along fixed lines while you can grow at will. Trees and plants can only develop certain possibilities and characteristics while you can develop any power.

Nothing that you can think of is impossible to put in action. Nothing that you can imagine is impossible to realize.

And that’s all from page one of The Science of Being Great. 

When it comes to money and abundance, which are front of mind for so many people almost all the time, we are connected not just to a limitless reserve of Divine Power. 

We are not even limited to receiving the fruits of our action. In the masterful life we’re learning to live, the whole is much greater than the sum of our efforts, our work, our actions with this physical body. 

We are connected to all the resources of this Universe. 

We don’t even know all of the wonderful ways prosperity and abundance will flow to us if we allow it to. 

In the words of my teacher Florence Scovel Shinn, which you should feel free to repeat after me if you want to pre-pave your day, your week, your year, your life for happy surprises: 

“Unexpected doors fly open, unexpected channels are free, and endless avalanches of abundance are poured out upon me, under grace in perfect ways. 

All that is mine by Divine Right is now released and reaches me in great avalanches of abundance, under grace in miraculous ways.

I am linked with an endless golden stream of prosperity which comes to me under grace in perfect ways.”

Not in grindy ways.   

In perfect ways.

Under grace.

Unexpected.

Avalanches of abundance. Not just enough to barely scrape by. 

Avalanches.

Overflowing. 

That’s what’s coming your way. 

But you’ve gotta release some stuff in order to receive this stuff.

Release the need to know the date and time. 

Enjoy the journey. 

Enjoy the glorious life that is unfolding before you, all along the way.

Release the need to know “how” it’ll all happen. 

Enjoy the happy surprises, small and large. Enjoy the dots when they connect.

That’s what makes life feel magical.

Release the need to feel like you have to DO SOMETHING or you have to MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Enjoy the receiving and allowing.

Each of these “releases” will open your Pipeline wider and tune you to become even more receptive of inspiration, anyway. 

And that’s when you should take action. When you’re inspired to do so. That’s when all the best stuff happens, anyway. 

It is a point of mastery to know what resources are available to you and to simply consent to receive them, and to refrain from making it much more complicated than that.

It is a point of mastery to know that you already possess an All-Access Pass to all the resources of this Universe, and that you’ll have exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. 

Knowledge. Intelligence. Connections. Energy. Clarity. Love. Joy. Time. Money.

All of that.

It’s all your birthright, by virtue of being a child of the divine. 

That’s what you are.

It is a point of mastery to use your Spiritual VIP Parking Passand pull right into the you-sized space in the front row of the parking lot of your life, waiting for you to come out of the back rows, stop playing small and hiding in your shadows and show all the way up, soul on deck, all in, right up front.

Are you ready to claim your spot? I believe you are. 

And I declare over you that the Divine, Genius plan for your life is coming to be, now, by grace and in a wonderful way.
